Map
The "Map" function enables to see the flight route and airports (prior entered on the list of airports) against the map of the world . Additionally, if the specific recording has information concerning the ETOPS analysis, also the symbols of these airports are displayed (in the form an abbreviation of the name inside a rectangle). You can also display a window against the map of the world containing values in particular points of the flight route for a chosen set of parameters. There can also be a window displayed with names of the pilots of a particular plane (if this data is entered earlier into the system) . The user can make a zoom of a chosen fragment of the map. Above all, a magnification of the part of the map including the route of the whole flight. If an ETOPS analysis of a particular recording has been done, its effects can be shown against the flight route. The parts of the route where the ETOPS distance has been surpassed, are then marked in red (a thicker line). If the recording has data concerning the ETOPS analysis then it is also possible to conduct an interaction analysis. It means that additionally there is a circle displayed on the screen marking the ETOPS range from a particular point of the flight route. At the bottom of the screen there is an information displayed if the ETOPS requirements are met or not. If not, an information is given about the distance by which the ETOPS range has been surpassed and the symbol of the nearest ETOPS airport changes its color into red.
